Blaenavon centre and player of the match, Scott Crease, won the race to the ball in his kick and chase and regained the lead for his team. This lead was shortlived as Cwmbran number 8 Gavin Cook crashed over for a try following a powerful 5 metre scrummage. Another Blaenavon penalty and Marc Watkins try gave the home team an 8 point clearance.
